Recruit NY Open House
pUnion Hill held an open House as part of the Recruit NY campaign. Equipment tours and demonstrations were given to interested members of the community. nbspEveryone had fun and even Sparky the Fire Dog made an appearance.p
Union Hill Getting a New Look!!
pAs part of an ongoing renovation project the Board of Directors and membership recently approved the replacement of the front fire and ambulance bay doors.ppThe new doors which will be an energy efficient glass will give the department a throw-back look to the 90s when the department last had glass doors.ppThe new doors which are over 30 years old are in need of replacement.nbsp The department decided to replace the doors with glass doors to give a more inviting and open look to the department.ppNew technology in glass manufacturing and insulation make the doors not only look nice but also as energy efficient as the current doors.ppInstallation of the doors should be completed with a month.ppThe door replacement is part of a renovation being planned for the fire house this year.nbsp New exterior walls renovated crew and sleeping quarters as well as upgrades to HVAC are all planned.ppThe Union Hill Fire Department is a 247 operation and the needed renovations will help the department continue to serve the community for years to come.ppnbspp
Union Hill Banquet
