nbspUnion Hill Fire and Ambulance responded to Route 104 in Ontario for the reported car accident with a person ejected. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
2011 Town Open House
nbspThe Union Hill Fire Department particiapted in the Town of Webster Open House on May 21. The event was held at the Town Hall and Police Department in Webster Many families enjoyed a fun filled day of games fire safety information and tours of our vehicles. The sun was shining and the Webster community really enjoyed themselves.
Union Hill Honors Members at Annual Banquet
pUnion Hill held its annual banquet at Eagle Vale and honored department members who in the past year have gone above and beyond the call of service to their communityppstrongKirk Willis was honored as firefighter of the year for 2010strong for his outstanding service as Deputy Chief.nbspAnbspmember since 2003 Kirk currently serves as a captain. nbspKirk was Deputy Chief – Fire for the previous two years. nbspDuring that time he coordinated department training including recruit training and managed the department maintenance functions.nbspppbrbrstrongEd Collins was recognized in 2010 as ambulance person of the yearstrong.nbspHaving joined our department in 2008 Ed is also firefighter with the Lincoln Fire Department and volunteers on our ambulance. nbspEd not only pulls weekly shifts but covers numerous 2nd calls and particpates in many department functions. nbspEd was one of the top responders for ambulance calls and is a dedicated worker for his community.brbrbrstrongGary Giudice was recognized with the lifetime achievement award for 2010.strong For over 40 years Gary Giudice has given up a night of his life to serve others on the Union Hill Ambulance. nbspGary has answered hundreds of calls while working a full time career with the City of Rochester. nbspRecently retired Gary has had time to spend with family and friends and time to reflect on his years of service to his community. Gary thanked those in the department and remarked how he got more than he gave for a lifetime of service to his community.brppp
New 1329 In Service
nbspThe Union Hill Fire Department has put into service a new Ambulance 1329. 1329 is a 2010 Road Rescue UltraMedic built on a Chevy 4500 chassis. This ambulance replaces the old 1329 which was showing its age as a 2005 Road Rescue UltraMedic.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
pnbspWhat a beautiful day for a Easter Egg Hunt. The Union Hill Fire Department played host to a large crowd of eager egg hunters. Tours were given of the vehicles and our station to many new families to our community.nbsp Hope to see everyone next year.p
